Terms and Conditions
The simple rules behind every private Coiba tour. Last updated: November 2026.
Booking and Payment
- A deposit confirms your date. The balance is paid as agreed when you book.
- Deposits are non-refundable, but the full amount goes toward your tour.
- We confirm the accepted payment methods with you when you book.
- Prices are per boat (up to 6 guests), not per person.
Cancellations
- 48 hours or more before departure: full refund, minus a $30 processing fee.
- Less than 48 hours before departure, or no-show: no refund.
- If we cancel for weather or safety reasons, we offer you a new date or a refund. The sea decides, and your safety comes first.
Departure Point and Late Arrival
- Tours leave from Santa Catalina or from our home dock at Club Náutico de Veraguas in El Bongo, Montijo, at the time agreed when you book.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
- If you are late, we will do our best to wait, but tides and park hours may force us to leave on time. If the boat leaves without you, it counts as a no-show.
What Is Included
Each tour shows what it includes on its page, and we confirm it again when you book. As a general rule, Coiba National Park entrance fees, alcoholic drinks and tips are not included unless the tour says so.
Coiba National Park Entrance Fee
Every visitor to Coiba needs a MiAmbiente permit. The fee is paid apart from the tour price (currently $20 for foreign visitors and $5 for Panamanian nationals and residents). We help you arrange it, and the money goes to the park. Please bring your passport or ID: the rangers check it.
Health, Mobility and Safety
- Boarding may involve a tide-dependent ramp or a beach landing, and snorkeling needs some swimming ability. Life jackets are on board for everyone.
- Our tours are generally not recommended for pregnant guests or guests with back, hip or spine injuries.
- Tell us about any health or mobility needs when you book, so we can advise you honestly.
- Children travel with a parent or guardian, who is responsible for them at all times.
- The captain has the final word on routes, swimming spots and safety, and may change the plan the same day because of currents or weather.
Liability
All guests sign a liability release and assumption of risk before the tour starts. Nature tours at sea carry some risk, and we work hard to keep it low: licensed captains, safety equipment and small groups.
Respect for the Park
Coiba is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Do not touch or stand on coral, feed wildlife, or take shells, plants or animals. Use reef-safe sunscreen. Guests who put wildlife or other people at risk may be asked to end the activity.
Photos and Media
We may take photos or videos during the tour. We only use images where you can be recognized in our marketing with your permission, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama.
